Deported people don’t return in business class: Rajab Butt on UK visa issue

Pakistani YouTuber Raja Butt has denied reports of being deported from the UK, insisting he returned home by choice and not under removal orders. “A person does not return in business class after being deported,” he said on Wednesday, rejecting speculation circulating online.

Butt explained that while he was not deported, his UK visa had been cancelled. “My visa has been cancelled, and an application has been submitted to the Home Office stating that there are cases pending against me,” he said.

He added that he had been holding a 10-year visa, which his lawyer has now challenged through a review.

He further stated, “My name is not on the Exit Control List. I will remain in Pakistan as long as the case is ongoing. If a visa is cancelled in the UK, a ten-year ban is usually imposed, but I am not seeking such a ban. I may need to travel for visits, but I will continue to reside in Pakistan.”

Butt was allegedly deported from England on a morning flight after British authorities cancelled his visa, according to reports surfacing Tuesday night. British government revoked his visa after the Home Department issued a written decision informing him of the cancellation.

According to the Home Department, Butt did not disclose the cases registered against him in Pakistan at the time of his visa application. Once the authorities became aware of this, they arrested him, cancelled his visa and ordered his deportation. He has said he intends to challenge the Home Department’s decision and will pursue an appeal in London.
