The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) has launched SME Certification and International Accreditation Grant Programme to provide comprehensive support to SMEs to cover costs associated with certification and accreditation.
According to Smeda sources, as per the SME development vision of the prime minister, the small and micro enterprises operating in the informal sector need to come into the formal sector to avail of the incentives and facilities offered by the government for reaching out to international markets. Therefore, SMEDA has introduced the grant programme.
