Mohajir Culture Day marked in city

A representative body of Urdu speaking people, Mohajir Youth, organised a rally on Wednesday to mark Mohajir Culture Day, beginning from Karimabad and culminating at Liaquatabad flyover. The event opened with Quran recitation, followed by the national anthem, which stirred patriotic fervor and reinforced unity among participants.

The rally was led by Chairman Zohaib Azam, Senior Vice Chairman Faiz Ali Khan, General Secretary Umair Aamir Maqsoodi, and members of the central cabinet. Young people from across Karachi joined in convoys, carrying national flags and white banners inscribed with Mohajir, peacefully showcasing their heritage and identity.

Addressing the gathering, Zohaib Azam said the day has evolved into a collective consciousness and identity. Azam welcomed the fact that PPP, MQM-Pakistan, Jamaat-e-Islami, and PTI also observed the day, including at the Governor House. Latest News, Breaking News & Top News Stories | The Express TribuneOur CorrespondentRead More
