Pakistan’s Under-16 football team will participate in the UEFA Development Tournament for the first time in the country’s history. The tournament will be held in Kazakhstan from April 24 to 30.
This was stated by Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) President Mohsin Gilani while speaking to the media. He said that Pakistan’s first-ever participation in a UEFA tournament is a historic milestone and reflects increasing efforts to provide young players with opportunities at the international level.
Gilani added that the tournament will feature teams from host nation Kazakhstan, along with Russia and Azerbaijan.
He said that Pakistan’s inclusion in the UEFA tournament reflects improving relations between the PFF and international football bodies, and that this development will be a major achievement for youth football in the country.
According to him, participation in high-level international tournaments is essential for the long-term development of Pakistani football.
