 A Frontier Corps (FC) soldier was martyred after terrorists opened fire on him in the Shah Hasan Khel area of Lakki Marwat on Sunday, police said.
The martyred soldier was identified as Bilqiaz, son of Mumtaz, a resident of Masti Khel. He was on leave at his native village when the attack took place. According to police, Bilqiaz had gone to Shah Hasan Khel for personal work when armed terrorists opened fire on him, killing him on the spot before fleeing the scene.
Police cordoned off the area after the attack, collected evidence and launched a search operation to trace and arrest the assailants. Police said terrorists had also blown up a girls’ middle school in Shah Hasan Khel with explosives the previous night.
