United States lawmakers on Monday acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and economic resilience in a meeting with Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) and Chief of the Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, said the military’s media wing.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Member of the House of Representatives (State of Montana) Ryean Keith and Member of the House of Representatives (State of Washington) Michael James called on CDF Munir at General Headquarters, Rawalpindi.
“The visiting lawmakers acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and economic resilience. Both sides also explored opportunities to enhance bilateral trade, private-sector partnerships and broader economic engagement,” said the statement.

The ISPR said that during the meeting, discussions focused on matters of mutual interest, regional security, bilateral defence cooperation and avenues for enhancing economic collaboration and prosperity,” it said.
IT further added that CDF Munir highlighted Pakistan’s vast economic potential, emphasising that sustainable regional stability was deeply anchored in economic growth, trade expansion and connectivity.
“He underscored Pakistan’s ongoing structural reforms aimed at fostering a business-friendly environment and attracting foreign investment,” it added.
