Pakistan has secured the early repatriation of 54 nationals detained in Cambodia following a crackdown on a suspected cybercrime facility, the Foreign Office said on Tuesday amid concerns over the conditions faced by hundreds of Pakistanis reportedly held in overcrowded detention centres.
The detainees, arrested during a raid on a “scamming compound” in Siem Reap province, will be repatriated once flight arrangements are finalised as Cambodian authorities agree to waive legal proceedings “as a goodwill gesture”.
The development follows reports that more than 200 Pakistanis remain in Cambodian custody.Latest News, Breaking News & Top News Stories | The Express TribuneOur CorrespondentRead More
