May 9 criminals deserve no mercy, says K-P governor

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi declared on Saturday that the perpetrators of the May 9 riots are unforgivable, emphasizing that swift legal action must be taken against those responsible.

Speaking to the media during a visit to a Pakistan Red Crescent-organized medical camp at the residence of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Deputy General Secretary Malik Saeed in Pahkha Ghulam, Peshawar, the governor said that today marks an important day as part of ongoing events connected to the ‘Marka-e-Haq’

Kundi was accompanied by PPP provincial president Muhammad Ali Bacha, Deputy General Secretary Malik Saeed, Abrar Saeed Swati, Red Crescent Chairman Farzand Ali Wazir, Divisional President Misbahuddin, and other party leaders.

“The cases of May 9 should be decided promptly,” Kundi asserted. “Delays in trials sometimes result in accused persons being honorably acquitted. Therefore, those responsible must be punished according to the law.”

The governor praised armed forces, stating they have delivered a crushing response to the nation’s enemies, marking one year of sustained deterrence. He noted that Pakistan’s diplomacy is being applauded on the global stage and that the world’s eyes are currently fixed on the country.

“Pakistan played a role in bringing adversaries to the same table,” Kundi said, expressing hope that key decisions would be made on Pakistani soil.

Kundi also commended overseas Pakistanis for proudly representing the nation worldwide.Latest News, Breaking News & Top News Stories | The Express TribuneOur CorrespondentRead More
